PLEASE NOTE: This is a special mailing -- a partial set of materials
consisting of the exegesis of John 1:1-8, links to five sermons on that
text, and a hymn list. Our primary set of materials for this week is based
on the Epiphany text, Matthew 2:1-12.

This is a complicated season. The common lectionary uses Luke 2:41-52 for
Dec. 27, but the Episcopalians/Anglicans use John 1:1-18. Some
denominations are using the Epiphany text, Matthew 2:1-12 for Jan. 3, but
the Lutherans are using John 1:1-18.

We have posted materials (and sent emails) for Luke 2:41-52 and Matthew
2:1-12. We are posting/sending this additional set of materials to try to
accommodate those who need materials on the John text. Thanks for your
patience!

NO PASSWORD REQUIREMENT: We are posting these materials on the web with no
password. To access those files, you MUST use the following links. If
clicking on the link fails to work, copy the link and paste it in the

A TIP: If you want the Word or WordPerfect files, LEFT-CLICK on the link and
see what happens. That should bring up a dialog box that asks if you want
to open the file or save it. Choose OPEN. Then save it wherever you like
on your hard drive.

If that doesn't work, RIGHT-CLICK on the link. You should get a sub-menu.
Hopefully, "Save Target As" will be one of the options. Click on that.
Then save the file wherever you want on your hard drive.
