   I also like to hear a brief personal testimony as to where the preacher stands or some connection to his/her faith development.  This may be included in your Reason #5, but it is not said as clearly as I would like.  I'm a lay minister and read other people's sermons or re-workings of other people's sermons, combinations, etc.  However, I like to include some brief personal testimony or statements as to my 'take' on the theme.
