Sunday- tomorrow- is when we both mourn and celebrate Jesus’ last week on this
earth before the resurrection. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>What did
God do?<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>The answer that has been the
most meaningful to me over the years is from the Exsultet from the Easter
Liturgy: “How wonderful and beyond our knowing, O God, is your mercy and
loving-kindness to us, that to redeem a slave, you gave a Son.” We who have
been slaves to sin and self-centeredness are transformed from a living death to
a meaningful life.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I’m not preaching
tomorrow- just listing the events of the torture and crucifixion.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>To get an idea of how valuable you personally
are to God, Matthew 27:1-66 is on our web site: </font><a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="http://www.stpaulsepisag.org/#!blog/cq9x"><u><font color="#0000ff" face="Times New Roman" size="3"></font></u></a><u><font color="#0000ff" face="Times New Roman" size="3"><a href="http://www.stpaulsepisag.org/#!blog/cq9x" target="_blank">http://www.stpaulsepisag.org/#!blog/cq9x</a></font></u><font color="#000000" face="Times New Roman" size="3">
as well as in your Bible.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>I recommend
reading a modern translation to get the full impact. We’d also love it if you
came and joined us in person at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 720 Tuscola,
Saginaw, Michigan. Our Sunday services are at 8 and 11 AM. </font></div>
